Popcornflix Comedy Now Offers Free Funny Flicks plus Original Programming on New Web & Mobile Apps

NEW YORK(20 May 2014)

Popcornflix, the FREE streaming movie service from Screen Media Ventures, LLC, today launched the first all-free, all-funny comedy channel, Popcornflix Comedy, making hundreds of 100 percent free comedy titles available to watch 24/7 online or via the Popcornflix Comedy mobile apps for iOS and Android smartphones and tablets.

Now, comedy fans can easily access hundreds of full-length features, including Trailer Park Boys, Super High Me, Mystery Science Theater 3000 and American Animal and more, featuring famous funnymen (and women) like Zach Galifianakis, Tracy Morgan, Jon Cryer, Jeff Daniels, Jane Lynch and Kathy Griffin specials. A wide variety of genres offer something for everyone—family, action and romantic comedies, late-night and satire films, "dramedies" and dark comedies, including a great collection of titles from the Troma catalog of comedic horror films.

Popcornflix Comedy original productions brings stand-up comedy fans a new original series, "Live at New York Comedy Club," filmed on-location at the Manhattan venue and featuring up-and-coming and well-known comics like Eric Neumann of Sirius XM Radio's Rooftop Comedy, Miguel Dalmau of NBC's Stand for Diversity and Emma Wilmann, who appeared at the Women in Comedy Festival. Up to six new episodes will be added to the Popcornflix Comedy lineup each month.
