Ramp Announces Integration with WebEx, Making WebEx Recordings Easy to Search, Retrieve and Play via Ramp’s Award-Winning Video Platform

New Product Option Makes it Possible to Find and Share WebEx Sessions for Better Communication and Productivity Across Global Business Teams

Boston, MA/Las Vegas NV(13 Apr 2015)

Ramp, the leading provider of next-generation video and search experiences for media, marketing and enterprises, announced today that it has integrated with WebEx to allow businesses to ingest, search, share and rebroadcast WebEx conferences through Ramp Video Management, Ramp’s enterprise video management platform.

Ramp’s customers can now ingest and transcode files of pre-recorded WebEx events or meetings using Ramp Video Management for SharePoint and save them in their Ramp-managed SharePoint videos where they will be automatically transcoded, transcribed and tagged using Ramp’s patented speech-to-text engine and workflow.  The Ramp platform creates time-coded metadata within all videos, enabling users to conduct searches on the spoken word within any WebEx session, and even search for specific audio tracks in long WebEx videos to narrow down and find the exact information they are looking for.  This powerful, new Ramp-WebEx feature makes it easier than ever for employees to share specific WebEx sessions, or even excerpts from WebEx, throughout an organization to promote knowledge-sharing and get more value from each and every WebEx event.

“This integration is a big step for businesses who want to repurpose and reuse their important WebEx archives for training and knowledge-sharing among employees across their large organizations,” said Tom Wilde, CEO of Ramp.  “Enterprises can now use the powerful features of Ramp Video Management – including metadata search and discovery, secure, SaaS-based video storage and delivery and deep, native integration with SharePoint – to take WebEx sessions to the next logical step in usability and productivity.”

With the Ramp Video Management Platform, recorded WebEx sessions also remain secure because the videos managed by Ramp are encrypted at rest and in transit and Ramp’s patented, 3-tier security ensures that sensitive corporate information is accessed and consumed only by the people who are authorized to do so.  Like all videos managed in the Ramp Video Management platform, WebEx sessions are properly encoded, stored, and streamed by Ramp to multiple devices, regardless of the format in which they were originally produced.
