SRT Alliance Hosts SRT Virtual Plugfest 2020 from May 5-7 to Foster Multi-Vendor Broadcast Video Workflows Over the Internet

Sponsored by Haivision and Microsoft, the collaborative online event will test interoperability using the SRT open source protocol

Montreal, Canada(16 Apr 2019)

The SRT Alliance, established by Haivision to support the SRT Open Source projecttoday announced the SRT Plugfest, an online event for developers to test interoperability and compatibility between different technologies using the SRT open source video streaming protocol.    

SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) is the de facto standard for high performance video streaming between remote facilities, from facilities to the cloud, and between broadcast and streaming cloud services. 

Sponsored by Haivision and Microsoft, the SRT Plugfest will take place from May 5 to May 7, 2020, and will give participants access to leading video streaming technologists, live SRT video streams, and cloud resources including Haivision’s SRT Hub, an innovative cloud-native media routing engine built on Microsoft Azure. All companies that support the active development of the SRT open source protocol and have products and solutions that support SRT are invited to participate in the online eventwhich will be moderated by core developers from Haivision and Microsoft
