Simple.TV and Rovi Entertainment Store Collaborate to Add Live & Recorded Broadcast Television Capabilities
Integrated Platform to Enable Discovery and Access to Live TV, Recorded TV, Paid VOD and Streaming VOD for Rovi Entertainment Store Customers

Simple.TV and Rovi Entertainment Store (RES) today announced a collaboration that is designed to enable Rovi Entertainment Store customers to deliver live TV and Cloud DVR functionality from within their RES-powered applications and accounts when paired with a Simple.TV. By integrating live TV, cloud DVR and video-on-demand, the combined solution will be capable of providing consumers access to multiple episodes of popular TV programs across seasons, helping to fuel content sales and eliminate the need to hunt across services to find the best content.
Designed as the world’s first streaming DVR, the award-winning Simple.TV bridges the gap between over-the-top streaming video and broadcast TV. The Rovi Entertainment Store is enabling retailers, service providers, CE manufacturers, and content owners to offer over-the-top (OTT) storefronts. The collaboration is designed to provide a comprehensive solution for users looking to consume premium content via the Rovi Entertainment Store as well as watch, pause and record Live TV content via Over the Air HDTV channels as well as Clear Cable (QAM) sources.
