Spotify Music Service Launches on Roku

Award-winning Music Streaming Service Makes it Easy to Discover, Manage and Share Music

There’s a new way to enjoy music on Roku.  Spotify and Roku, Inc. today announced that the two companies have partnered to bring the digital music service to the Roku streaming platform. Available starting today with a Premium subscription, Spotify provides instant access to over 20 million* songs, top tracks and albums, and the ability to listen to and manage playlists. New Spotify customers can try Premium for 30 days, completely free at spotify.com/roku.

“Spotify has been a huge success in the U.K. – and its reputation preceded it even before it debuted in the U.S.,” said Ed Lee, vice president of content and services, Roku. “It has been by far one of the most-requested services by Roku customers and today we are pleased to make the popular music service available to our customers in both countries.”

Joining more than 600 video, music and casual game channels already on Roku, the Spotify channel is available now in the U.S. on Roku 2 players and the Roku Streaming Stick with support for all Roku HD and Roku LT players coming soon; and available now in the U.K. on all Roku players.
