Streambox Inside Program Designed to let OEMs Easily Integrate Device

Amsterdam IBC, 12 September 2014—Streambox, the leading provider of solutions that enable mobile video anywhere, today announced the Streambox Avenir Micro. The Avenir Micro is an extremely small form factor bonding encoder designed to be embedded directly into cameras, small low power mobile devices and OEM equipment to capture and transmit HD video in real time. The Streambox Avenir Micro will be available in 2015. In addition, Streambox is developing a program for OEM partners to integrate Avenir Micro directly into their products. Camera manufacturers and Satellite Terminal manufacturers are markets for the Streambox Inside program.

“Broadcasters and video professionals  need integrated HD video encoders in cameras and devices to live-stream high quality videos over multiple bonded connections without sacrificing form factor or increasing power consumption ,“ said Alex Telitsine, CTO and co-founder of Streambox. “The Avenir Micro fits easily into cameras, small mobile devices or other unmanned devices and can capture and transmit in ways we haven’t seen before. The feedback on our testing has been extremely encouraging.”

Streambox Drone Encoder and Avenir Micro Extend the Reach of Mobile Video

The Streambox Drone Encoder, another recent addition to the Streambox family of Mobile Video Solutions, was premiered at the NAB 2014 event in April of this year. The Streambox Drone Encoder is sized to fit into a shirt pocket and is designed for security, surveillance, streaming and mobile newsgathering. The Streambox Drone Encoder combines a full-featured encoder with a low power miniature size designed to fit inside a drone, other unmanned device or on an automobile dashboard. At IBC 2014 Streambox will be presenting a prototype Drone Encoder Kit for multiple uses depending on the application requirements. The Streambox Drone Encoder works  in the air, in vehicles, on tripods and can also work using a person as a base station attached with digital and analog video capture peripherals, battery and power accessories and components.

The Streambox Drone Encoder weighs less than 400 grams and runs for hours on a single battery. It captures HD and SD video over bonded 3G/4G, Wi-Fi, and other IP networks and works seamlessly with Streambox Cloud Services for live on-air broadcasts or streaming to the web and mobile devices.
