Swarmify raises seed funding to end video buffering
Swarmify gains backing from industry veterans and respected venture capital firm, Mosley Ventures.

Swarmify, a cloud based streaming platform, announced today that it has closed its first round of seed funding led by Mosley Ventures with participation from LaunchPad40 and Angel groups from Atlanta and Florida. Swarmify CEO, Nathan Barnett, says, ”This investor team brings a successful track record and experience scaling companies in the video domain.”
Swarmify’s “SmartVideo” solution improves the robustness of video delivery and dramatically reduces the cost of streaming. The proprietary solution makes decisions in real-time transparent to the user and overall experience.
Barnett, said SmartVideo was created to address the woeful lack of progress to improve the video experience for users. The amount of content and number of streams continue to grow significantly year over year but users still experience “buffering” and slow “stream starts”. SmartVideo rectifies these issues while also insuring that Ads are delivered promptly to reduce their impact on users. By offering a hybrid delivery mechanism SmartVideo customers can also expect significant savings on their streaming costs. “When users see a video stall or fail mid-stream, they leave and never come back. Video quality has a significant impact on your bottom line as users expect it to just work.”
John Vecchio of Mosley Ventures has been appointed to Swarmify’s Board of Directors. “Swarmify’s proprietary technology is a perfect fit for a market that has relied on brute force delivery for too long” said John Vecchio partner at Mosley Ventures.
