Telchemy's New VQmon 4.1 Analyzes Encrypted OTT Video Streams and UHD Video

Market Leading Software for Real Time VoIP/Video Analytics Now Analyzes Encrypted TCP/HTTPS Video Streams, UHD and H.265/HEVC Encoded Video

Duluth, GA(09 Jul 2015)

Telchemy, the leading provider of software analytics technology for real time applications, announced the availability of VQmon 4.1, which adds support for encrypted OTT Video streamed over HTTPS, Ultra High Definition (4k/ 8k) video and the HEVC/H.265 video codec to VQmon's wide range of voice, video, audio and data analytics.  VQmon sales have exceeded 200 million units and continue to grow at 30 million units per year.

Leading video service providers stream much of their content in encrypted form over HTTPS, making it virtually indistinguishable from an encrypted data session.  This type of encrypted video content is virtually indistinguishable from an encrypted data session. VQmon 4.1 is uniquely able to recognize encrypted video and audio, without decryption, and to produce detailed analytics including QoE metrics for the protected content. VQmon can be deployed anywhere in the network from core or cloud to customer premise, handset or desktop, providing essential performance and diagnostic data to enable service providers and enterprises to deliver reliable services to their customers.

The advanced analytics produced by VQmon enable service providers and enterprises to monitor the user perceived quality of their voice, video, audio and data services, and to rapidly detect network or service issues that are impacting service quality.

VQmon is extensively deployed in routers, switches, handsets, gateways, session border controllers, cloud based systems, softphones and chipsets, and has been licensed by most of the leading IP voice and video test equipment manufacturers. The technology is highly reliable and benefits from over twelve years of field deployment in a wide range of networks. Telchemy has worked with hundreds of equipment manufacturers to integrate VQmon into their products and systems, and has a proven ability to port and integrate VQmon into virtually any platform. VQmon is exceptionally efficient and is able to analyze large volumes of traffic with relatively low computational load.

This advanced DPI technology is protected by seven granted US patents and associated international patents, with additional patent applications pending. These granted patents encompass the QoE analysis of voice, video, audio and data streams with time-varying impairments, the analysis of encrypted video streams and the integration of voice/video QoE monitoring agent technology into mobile handsets and set-top boxes.

Telchemy is the global leader in Voice and Video over IP performance management technology with its VQmon, DVQattest, SQprobe and SQmediator families of service quality monitoring and analysis products. Telchemy has led the use of embedded software probe technology and the application of big data and analytics for VoIP performance management, and is positioned to be a leading provider of voice and video performance monitoring technology for the emerging SDN. Founded in 1999, the company has products deployed worldwide and markets its technology through over 140 leading networking, test and management product companies.
