Total Webcasting Scores a Big Win with UConn
Total Webcasting™, is a leading provider of Full Service and Self-Service Webcasting and Content Publishing Solutions.
New Paltz, NY(10 May 2016)
This commencement season, UConn presented Total Webcasting with a formidable task: to webcast 14 graduation ceremonies held in three campus venues, live, over the course of a single weekend. With its TW Mediacart in tow, Total Webcasting rose to the challenge, producing the entire program with only three technicians, yet with no compromise to its usual high quality work.
Set up for all venues took only three hours total – four high definition cameras were placed unobtrusively in each of the larger locations and two cameras were positioned in the smaller ballroom. All 14 ceremonies were live-streamed with complete edited, indexed archives available online only five minutes after the conclusion of each program. Thousands of viewers across the globe tuned in on multiple devices, from tablets to smartphones, to watch their loved ones graduate.
According to Robert Feldman, President of Total Webcasting, “this feat was only possible due to the combination of innovative solutions that Total Webcasting has developed.” The net result was “a very affordable package” that was “a fraction of the cost versus traditional video production companies.” The efficiencies used at UConn demonstrate the significant impact Total Webcasting is having on today’s video production and Webcasting industry. “Not only are our customers saving substantial amounts of money,” notes Feldman, “they are being empowered to publish content that, without our solutions, would never be seen or shared.”
