VBrick™ Shows Live Webcasting for Microsoft Lync and Videoconferencing Environments at Enterprise Connect

New Capability Enables Microsoft Customers to Extend Lync Meeting Experience to Mass Online Audiences

ORLANDO, Enterprise Connect(18 Mar 2014)

VBrick Systems, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise video management and distribution solutions, today is showcasing UC integration solutions that enable organizations to scale videoconferencing systems and Lync meetings to reach large, online audiences.

VBrick’s new Lync capability brings together immersive collaboration and enterprise webcasting to enable Lync customers to leverage their existing investments to deliver enterprise-wide streaming. The capability allows Lync customers to offset or replace costly, event-based services charges and enrich the Lync single-client experience.

Once deployed, Lync presenters set up a meeting as they normally would, incorporating VBrick as a distribution solution.  Meeting content is webcast as a high-quality video stream that displays multi-speaker/Active Speaker video, audio, desktop screen capture, and an instant messaging function.

The solution delivers a familiar experience to end users while the VBrick enterprise video platform and intelligent media server network work behind the scenes to transform the video, audio and desktop capture into bandwidth-efficient streams that can be delivered to potentially thousands of users.

“VBrick’s market leadership in enterprise video is largely attributable to the fact that we embed video within the enterprise systems and workflows – like Microsoft Lync and videoconferencing – that our customers use every day,” said Shelly Heiden, VBrick CEO. “In this way, we help them leverage existing investments and known technologies to achieve new levels of efficiency, cost savings and productivity through streaming applications.”

Much like the Lync streaming capability, VBrick is also showcasing its ability to add a streaming complement to major manufacturer videoconferencing systems to deliver a highly scalable broadcast capability to videoconferencing meetings. In this case, the VBrick™ Videoconferencing Gateway integrates with MCUs and end points to convert H.232 video to H.264 HD-quality video streams that are similarly delivered over the VBrick enterprise video platform.
