VBrick Systems Bridges the Streaming Media and Digital Signage Worlds with a Fully Integrated Digital Signage Solution

Extends the Reach of Traditional Displays to Include Computers and Mobile Devices

Las Vegas - InfoComm 2010(09 Jun 2010)

IP video technology leader VBrick Systems today announced the availability of the industry-first VBrick Digital Signage solution that combines video streaming and digital signage into one fully integrated solution.  Now digital signage content can be streamed across a virtually unlimited range of IP networks and devices, significantly expanding its reach and application possibilities.

Historically, organizations have deployed separate streaming and digital signage solutions with no ability to integrate the two technologies.  VBrick Systems has ushered in a new era of advanced enterprise workflow with the integration and extension of these critical collaborative technologies.  Through the centralized management and distribution of the streaming and digital signage content using VBrick's Enterprise Media Systems (VEMS), combined with VBrick encoders and set top boxes, the cost of deploying digital signage is decreased by up to 75 percent.

CEOs can now extend live broadcasts to all employees via personal computers, mobile devices and digital signs.  Similarly, human resources professionals can more powerfully communicate new regulatory or employee benefits information using live or on-demand video that can be viewed anywhere in the organization. In a higher education environment, digital signs can replace bulletin boards and integrate live video of on-campus events.  Moreover, television content-be it news, sports or weather-can be more easily displayed in common areas or cafeterias.

"The launch of the new VBrick Digital Signage solution underscores our commitment to providing customers with the only flexible, fully integrated solution to stream digital signage content to virtually any worldwide location via any device," said John Shaw, Chief Operating Officer, VBrick.  "We continue to fortify our reputation as a leader in streaming IP video to ensure our customers have access to the most cost effective and compelling solutions they need to communicate their messages to the audiences that matter most."

Ushering in the future of digital signage
Until today, distributing video to digital signage displays typically required laying coaxial cable to television endpoints.  Not only does this approach limit distribution to the physical location of the cabling (and the reach of signal amplifiers), it's extremely expensive to essentially wire buildings twice: once for the IP network and again for video. VBrick's Digital Signage solution allows digital signage content to be delivered as one video stream over the IP network - which typically extends throughout today's modern buildings. VBrick solution can also be streamed over WAN links, wireless networks, and even to the Internet via VBrick's Online Streaming Service (VBoss).

Furthermore, digital signage that has traditionally been delivered to large format displays such as plasmas and LCDs can now be delivered to many new endpoints including PCs, Macs and mobile devices such as iPhones, Blackberries and Android devices.

VBrick's digital signage solution will be available in June 2010. For more information please visit VBrick  or call 800-551-2907.
