VITEC Announces the Availability of the Focus FS-H70 Portable Recorder
The New Focus FS-H70 Proxy Recorder (H.264) for SDI Video allows you to record content from your broadcast or professional camera, store to an SDHC card, stream to network, and upload to an Online Video Platform.

VITEC, a worldwide leader in advanced video solutions, today announced the availability of the Focus FS-H70 Proxy Recorder, the second model of its proxy recorder product line. FS-H70 is a portable H.264 High Definition recorder designed for cloud-based and production workflows. Ideal applications include cinema proxy editing, dailies, breaking news, press junkets and online video sharing.

The Focus FS-H70 with SDI input simplifies acquisition workflow by recording edit-ready, low bit-rate H.264 clips. For proxy workflow editing applications, the frame accurate timecode allows an efficient matching of the high resolution/bitrate content recorded by the camera. Clips can be recorded as QuickTime MOV, MP4 and TS (AVC HD) files for simple and instant use in day-to-day workflows such as NLE/production and web sharing: Clips can be easily edited or directly uploaded to video platforms for immediate sharing (such as YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, …).
FS-H70 has an integrated wireless web interface (using the VITEC wireless dongle) that allows the user to have a live preview of the SDI input and also playback/review recorded clips. This web interface can be accessed using a standard web browser from a PC/Mac or mobile device.
Using the provided cradle, the portable Focus FS-H70 can be attached to many professional video cameras. It is incredibly light and provides several hours of continuous recording on a single charge.
