Vevo Channel Now Available On Roku
Saratoga, Calif.(21 Dec 2012)
Today, we are thrilled to announce Vevo is coming to one of our favorite connected TV platforms...Roku!
Oh yes. And do we love this device. I often have Pandora streaming through it and watch TED talks or Hulu. But now there are over 50,000 high quality music videos to choose from on our Vevo channel to easily stream for free to your big screen TV in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and Ireland.
When you launch Vevo on Roku, you can start watching video instantly - and continuously powered by our recommendations service. There’s a convenient videos browse page which lets you easily discover, search and enjoy videos from the world’s biggest artists. Watch anything from today’s top videos, music from your favorite artists and genres to VEVO’s exclusive original music programs.
And of course, since I have a Vevo account, Vevo for Roku accesses my previously saved personal playlists, so I can watch my favorites in the living room anytime (in fact, as I write this, I’ve got a VEVO holiday playlist on. Got to love Wham’s “Last Christmas”). There's even a "my history" feature which lets you quickly see what you've already watched on VEVO. That’s a great option for when you're buzzing so much about a particular artist or video that all you want to do is put it on repeat.
Why is today’s announcement so exciting? Because it brings HD music video programming to another platform, offering you more viewing choices than ever before. So whether it’s your favorite Maroon 5 or Adele video, you can watch online, on mobile and tablet or in your living room through Xbox, iOS Airplay/Apple TV and now Roku (if you already have a Roku account, sign in to launch the VEVO channel).
We’re really excited to bring Vevo to Roku but we aren't stopping there. In the coming year, we plan to usher you back into your living room even more with a variety of products, programming and entertainment. Stay tuned, and for now, we hope you dig the VEVO experience on Roku as much as we do. Look for Vevo in your Roku Channel Guide today, and get more info here.
