ViVu Takes Web Video Conferencing to a New Level with Instant Multimedia Archive & Playback Capability

Cupertino, CA(10 Jun 2010)

ViVu is making commercially available NOW archive and playback capabilities for its VuRoom web video conferencing plug-in for Skype. The new functionality gives consumers, SMBs and enterprise companies quick and easy access to archived video with a simple mouse click and is available to existing VuRoom customers at no additional cost. Currently built on the Skype platform, ViVu has plans to incorporate support for other prominent Internet messaging platforms as needed to meet increasing demands.

With the integration of the archive and playback capabilities into the VuRoom solution, ViVu is able to offer users another first-to-market feature for web video conferencing - providing instant and easy access to all or any portion of a VuRoom video conference, discussion or shared desktop view. Skype users can now easily replay a multi-point conference call, share the video with a colleague or post it to a website.

The VuRoom enhanced functionality gives users a cost effective and simple way to increase productivity through visual collaboration and improved training opportunities. Because VuRoom manages the file storage and media streaming in the cloud, burdens on IT, as well as hardware requirements, are also decreased. As soon as a video recording ends, users are emailed a hyperlink to the conference. There are no post production requirements, and users have full ownership of the archived session and can use it in whatever way they choose.

ViVu's VuRoom video conferencing solution allows companies to collaborate real-time, resulting in a more unified workforce, increased customer outreach and superior employee training. All of these capabilities are provided through VuRoom without any additional hardware costs or incurred travel expenses, saving time and money, thus giving SMBs and enterprise companies the ability to do more with less.

Enabling VuRoom's multi-user video conferencing technology is simple. The meeting host downloads and installs the plug-in and selects the conference contacts from their Skype contact list. Only the host needs the ViVu plug-in installed; other participants join simply by clicking the URL in their text chat window. The result is an instant collaborative video call where PowerPoint slides, video file and desktop sharing can be conducted on an easy-to-use intuitive interface.

VuRoom's archive and playback features are included as part of the VuRoom service. VuRoom is currently available for both Windows and Macintosh users, compatible with Skype for Windows version 3.0+ and Macintosh version 2.0+. VuRoom can be downloaded at a price of $9.95/month by going to http://vivu.tv/vivuweb/downloads/vuroom.jsp. For a 30-day free trial invitation, customers can register at http://vivu.tv/portal/requestvuroom.jsp.
