VideoElephant selects Bitcentral to power its content marketplace of 150+ FAST channels

Bitcentral’s FUEL + Powr.tv platform is powering VideoElephant’s channels globally to reach new audiences and create new advertising revenues.

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif(15 Mar 2022)

Bitcentral Inc., the provider of award-winning efficient media workflows for broadcast and digital video, today announces that it has partnered with VideoElephant, the world’s largest premium video content hub, to enhance and expand its marketplace of free ad-supported TV (FAST) channels for syndication to distributors around the world.

The partnership will see VideoElephant use Bitcentral’s award-winning FUEL platform to create dynamically programmed linear channels at scale from its extensive catalog of premium content. In addition, Bitcentral’s recently acquired Powr.tv platform enhances the breadth of distribution and syndication of content across various endpoints. The combined FUEL + Powr.tv streaming solution suite enables VideoElephant to reach new audiences and drive new advertising revenues, all while operating in a more cost-effective and time-efficient way.

VideoElephant is one of the largest global video aggregators in the world today, providing curated, brand-safe, and licensed videos for online publishers, streaming services, mobile apps, retail media and digital signage. Its library of premium content contains over 3 million videos with over 2,500 new videos added daily. It aggregates content from hundreds of top publishers and content providers, including brands like Sports Illustrated, Us Weekly, Reader’s Digest and Chicago Tribune. Bitcentral empowers VideoElephant to manage its libraries better, making them more modular and flexible, and to distribute its FAST channel solution more widely to capitalize on the surge in viewership and advertising revenues of Connected TV (CTV).

Bitcentral provides a best-in-class solution suite that is pre-integrated and tested, which eliminates vendor and content duplication while lowering complexity and cost. Its FUEL solution creates dynamic linear channels at scale, enabling VideoElephant to easily create and manage 150+ channels with a lot less time and manpower, while its Powr.tv OTT solution increases its breadth of distribution options.

Brian Cullinane, Chief Revenue Officer for VideoElephant, said: “We are entering an exciting new era of linear channel publishing at scale. Bitcentral is the perfect partner to enhance and expand our linear FAST channel offering. This move takes our go-to-market strategy to the next level with a partner that not only understands the needs of publishers today to create new delivery and distribution methods, but also their extensive experience in broadcast means their operational know-how is simply unmatched.”

Greg Morrow, GM for Bitcentral’s Streaming Media Group, said: “VideoElephant has been a pioneer in providing an easy-to-use platform to integrate on-demand video from hundreds of content partners.  They are the largest on-demand video content aggregator in the world and now the FUEL + Powr.tv combined solution is allowing them to rapidly and cost-effectively deploy that library in the FAST and CTV ecosystem. These are principles that we are also passionate about at Bitcentral, and we are delighted to be providing the tools through FUEL + Powr.tv that enable VideoElephant to continue its next stage of growth.”

Bitcentral will be demonstrating its combined FUEL + Powr.tv solution at NAB Show 2022 (booth # W5100).
