YuMe Announces Support for Microsoft Silverlight

Redwood City, CA(13 Apr 2010)

YuMe, the leading video advertising technology company, today announced its ACE video advertising platform is now compatible with Microsoft Silverlight.  Publishers who equip their Silverlight players with ACE technology will be able to monetize their video content through YuMe's video ad network, and will have the option to take control of their video ad operations with the ACE Ad Management System.

"YuMe is making our ACE technology platform available to publishers who want to maximize revenue from their videos-on every viewing device they publish to using any video publishing software," said Jayant Kadambi, co-founder and President of YuMe.  "A growing number of publishers are choosing to use Silverlight, and we are excited to be the first video advertising technology company to support them."

"Microsoft is excited YuMe has invested early in supporting Silverlight, and is today announcing its ACE Ad Management System is compatible with Silverlight," said Brian Goldfarb, director of the developer platform group at Microsoft Corp. "Products like ACE Ad Management System help developers use their existing skills to create unique experiences that run across many and varied devices."

YuMe's proven ACE technology serves more than 30 million ads per day and is used by some of the biggest media companies in the world, including Microsoft Corp., which uses YuMe's ACE technology.  In September 2007, Microsoft selected YuMe as its ad serving platform and sales partner for the launch of its Windows Media Center Internet TV offering.  In June 2008 the companies announced that Microsoft selected YuMe to help monetize unsold video inventory across its online properties.

Starting today, publishers will be able to download the YuMe Silverlight Software Development Kit at http://www.yume.com/publishers.  After completing the simple integration process, publishers will be able to submit their inventory for inclusion in YuMe's video ad network.  Because every publisher in the YuMe network is ACE-equipped, the YuMe network produces superior results for advertisers through advanced targeting, high-impact ad units and real-time campaign optimization.

Publishers who equip their Silverlight-based players with ACE will be able to take control of their video ad operations with the ACE Ad Management System.  The ACE Ad Management System is a complete set of SaaS ad operations tools that publishers use to make the most money possible from their video inventory, managing as many syndication partners as they choose and expanding to any viewing environment - from PC to mobile to IPTV.  The ACE Ad Management System lets a publisher's in-house sales team offer advanced targeting, the latest high-impact ad units, and provides tools to increase fill rates and eCPMs by coordinating multiple ad sources.
